The world has a great lost; Dennis Ritchie died.

The computer programmer Dennis MacAlistair Ritchie, also know as Dennis Ritchie or “dmr”, died at 70 years old at his home in United States.
Dennis Ritchie receives a Japan Prize
for the creation of Unix.

Ritchie was one of creators of The Unix Operating System and The C Language Programming, receiving for his contribution the Turing award in 1973, the national medal of tecnology on the United States at 1999 and the Japan award to information and comunication in 2011.

The information about the death of Ritchie was released by programmer Robert Pike. He worked with Ritchie on the Unix Operating System.
